The Sacred Heart and Mind

I try not to win you over
with mere presentation of words nor
to change your person in my favor.
These attempts house themselves
more in a different community of naked truth
of the sacred heart.

Where the heart and mind reside as one.
Where love is the temple
And the mind is the parishioner to
forgotten or reserved emotions.
There is no room for hesitance here.

I long to create a new home within you,
Providing you with fond and safe memories
which  color the walls with a touch or a kiss .

A comforting morning sleepy smile
followed by the last embrace before rising
that echoes through the day as a reminder
that you have a home here.

My words are not to paint perfect pictures to elude
the acceptance of the truth within this challenge
of the mind racing the heart .
like the tortoise and the hare.
I say let down your guard even if for one moment
like you have not been able to do in the past.
Let the light in and don’t fear it.
Dance in it’s shadow.
The sparkle in my eye
invites you to try
without yesterday's hesitation.
To deny this unspoken treasure
saddens the guardian angels
who lead you to me.

Our love need not be perfect,
but to be accepting of its full value
without defense of it's flaws
and the willingness to preserve it
allows us to earn the power of our embrace.
An Angel came to me in a dream and told me a secret message of wisdom
That I want to pass on to you:
"Treat any form of love as though it were gold, and what follows will lead you to more."
It is with my sacred heart that beats such words.
